The Emergency Community Help Organization(ECHO) provides food assistance to households in need in Brandon and surrounding towns.

This ECHO location provides Food, house hold supplies and clothing for emerginces. Have you currently lost a job and are in need of these iteams to get you by for a few weeks? We may be able to help.

On the other hand, summertime brings great opportunities and unique challenges for the Brandon community when dealing with food and hunger. As a whole, summer is the season where we have the most usage of the ECHO Food Shelf. Kids are home from school and do not have access to school feeding programs. Although there are summer feeding programs, not all families take advantage of this service.

At the same time, our ability to meet this increase in need strains ECHO's resources. With vacations and the general business of summer, our volunteers are unable to serve as consistently and less non-perishable food is donated. The shelves at the ECHO Food Shelf won't fill up again with donations until the next food drive in (need to know date).
